Installation and precautions:

1. Flip the iRobot Roomba so that the underside is facing upwards.

2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the following screws:
6.27mm-screw in the center of the side brush. Five 6.24mm-screws on the bottom cover.

3.Carefully remove the bottom cover.

4. If the cover is stuck or hard to remove, use a prying tool to separate it from the device.

5. Before removing the battery, make sure that it is not hot or swollen. Swollen lithium-ion batteries release gases that are hazardous for humans.

6.Unclip the original battery and pull upwards to remove it.

If the cover is stuck or hard to remove, use a prying tool to separate it from the device.

Note: Swollen or cracked batteries can be hazardous to humans due to fumes or potential fire. If you feel unsafe at anytime completing this guide, put your device in a fireproof container and take it to a replacement professional.
